Today’s blog, Soul Recharge, is the next in the Healing Path Series, a journey through the 10 empowering steps to strengthen, support and supercharge the personal growth process.

Today’s blog, I’ll cover why recharging your soul is necessary to move forward, stay positive and build new habits.  I’ll explain how you can bring more awareness to how well you are refilling your life force energies with practical examples to try to embody a vibrant, creative, inspired, joyful and loving experience in life.

Key Topics Include:

    • Why recharging your soul is necessary to move forward, stay positive and build new habits.
    • How you can bring more awareness to how well you are refilling your life force energies.
    • Practical examples to try to embody a vibrant, creative, inspired, joyful and loving experience in life.

Today I’ll be covering the sixth step in the Healing Path: Replenish.  This is one of the most important steps, yet I often find it overlooked in many healing therapies.  For example, there is an unbalanced focus on releasing and letting go with little to no attention on bringing in healthy, positive and harmonized states to replace what was released.  Instead, once a release happens attention moves to identifying what is next in line to let go of.

Over time, this can create a cycle where creative attention becomes focused on identifying, analysing and getting rid of the problem, symptom or condition. I agree that this is an effective approach, yet I’ve found in nearly 2 decades of clinical experience that results are even better when we balance the creative attention to refill after a release.  This serves to increase the high vibration of pure life force energies which are healing, empowering and life-giving.  This is going to activate and invigorate our lives as we walk the healing path.  Rather than creating the burden of being that comes from too much attention on the problem state.

Replenish is the sixth step in the ten-step healing path, the first step past the halfway point.  It happens after the transformation has happened, where the old pattern has been released, making room for the new.  The importance of putting conscious attention on replenishing after making a change is to fill your life force tank with all the good qualities and characteristics of the desired state.

Think of it this way.  Do you have a closet in your house that is cluttered and full and has become the place where you store spare, old or unwanted things?  Or if not a closet, a container, a shed or a garage perhaps?  Let’s say you took the time and effort to clear out and reorganise this space.   For anyone who has done this, you know it is a big effort, that isn’t that much fun, but once completed brings a great sense of satisfaction.  Once you have made the effort to clear and clean the space would you be ok if everyone else used it as their storage space or for you to just fill it back up with unwanted, purposeless clutter?  I’m guessing that wouldn’t be your first choice.

Personal growth is similar.  We all have parts of the subconscious mind where we store old memories, habituated behaviors, limiting beliefs, ancestral loyalties, and unresolved emotions.  Once you put in the work to revise, transform and heal these patterns you have a choice.  You can bring conscious awareness to refilling the place these old patterns used to inhabit with empowering beliefs, positive mindsets, ancestral support, emotional balance and all the other characteristics of your desired state experience.

Or you can leave the cleared space in your system to be underutilized, and collect energetic dust which will not work to your advantage, while you go on to work on the next issue and the next and so on.

Pausing to acknowledge the transformation you have achieved is a celebration of you.  The one who showed up each day, put in the work, faced the challenges and manifested your intention.  This is an act of self-love that builds self-esteem, trust, safety and empowerment.

As you release the old patterns in your healing path, and transform them into more empowering states of being, resources and mindsets taking the opportunity to regularly recharge yourself with things that support your health, happiness and harmony is essential to getting the transformation to stay put and grow within you.

Remember and respect that you have lived with these old patterns for a few decades now, and in order to make this new way a habit, your system needs to experience the benefits of it on at least a daily basis.  When you refill your life force tank regularly with things that make you smile, laugh, bring joy, open your heart, inspire you, ignite your passions and connect you to the pure life force frequencies then your brain chemistry will adjust to support creating these in your life without having to think about it.

As you learn to appreciate your personal growth achievements, you will also allow yourself a much-needed rest from the challenges you faced along the way.  In step 2 of the healing path, support which is covered in episode 67: Self Care Guide, you created a list of things that support you, build resilience and help you bounce back from setbacks more easily.  Self Care is a great way to replenish yourself.  Remember self care isn’t selfish it is a necessity to live a happy, healthy and connected life.

Replenishing after a personal transformation is also needed to heal any depletion, fatigue or emotional unrest you have experienced on the healing path.  Much like our physical body need to recover after an exertion,  our energetic, emotional, and ancestral bodies need some recovery time after a big shift, healing or change.  While allowing the physical body to recover often takes the form of rest, sleep and stillness, bringing recovery to the other aspects of our body matrix involves filling our tanks with positive, creative, nourishing emotions, energies and perspectives.

Think about it this way.  If your car is out of fuel and you park it sitting on empty, when you return to it will the tank be full after resting?  No, it may have rested but the fuel tank is equally as empty as before.  The non-physical aspects of your body matrix including the energetic, emotional, ancestral and spiritual bodies need to be refueled on a regular basis not only to recover from a deep transformation but to maintain health and well-being.

This soul recharging process allows us to have greater compassion, gratitude and pride in ourselves as we fully acknowledge the effort it took to climb the mountain of personal growth transformation and embrace the fun, flow and excitement of embracing our desired state experience.

Take a moment to think about the ways you refill your body matrix energies.  Meditation, yoga, chanting, time in nature, family, friends, travel, art, food, community, creating, loving, being present.  Sometimes this can be a new concept and when we take stock of how we recharge our energy, emotions, spirit and soul we may be at a loss to come up with ways we currently do this.  This is perfectly ok and completely normal in my experience.  If this is happening for you as you do this self-reflection exercise, know that by bringing it into awareness you are most of the way there in making a positive change.

Finding and maintaining perspective while walking the healing path is a simple and effective way to reduce drama, emotional overwhelm and lack of clarity.  Perspective is a great life hack as it can be done at the speed of thought, doesn’t cost anything and is completely in your control.  Replenishing yourself with life force energy on a regular basis, especially if you’ve just gone through a personal growth spurt, helps to keep perspective and bring balance to all aspects of being.

Once you have the choice of a more life-supporting way of being that recharges your soul, replenishes your spirit and supports your whole being, it then becomes important to be aware of where you are focusing your attention.  Are you focusing on the issues, problems and complaints or are you focusing on creating, loving and all the happy aspects of life?  No one can make this choice for you.  No one is coming to tell you to make this choice.  It is all up to you.  Which is wonderful, empowering and inspiring.

If your attention is not at least 50/50 present state/desired state ways of thinking, acting and being then first step is to bring it into a state of equilibrium by upping your spiritual practice, adding things into your life that energise you, making you happy and inspire love and support a positive mindset where you can focus on the future, where you are going and what you want to create. While also holding in your heart the strengths and resources the state you wish to let go of has brought you.  One way to do this is for every negative, heavy or disempowering thought you have to counter it with a positive, light-filled and empowering one.  I like to tell my clients to take this one step further and come up with two or more positive thoughts for every negative to help shift the balance into one that fills your life force, soul, and spirit tank.
