In today’s blog, a companion to the Healing Intelligence article, we’ll explore a challenging pattern through the different layers of your body matrix, to connect with a deeper intelligence behind what you have been experiencing, and to shift into a new way of relating to it from a place of clarity, integration, and choice.

This piece is a companion to the previous exploration of Healing Intelligence and offers a guided process to help you move from understanding into direct experience. Here, you are invited to explore a challenging pattern through the different layers of your body matrix, to connect with a deeper intelligence behind what you have been experiencing, and to shift into a new way of relating to it from a place of clarity, integration, and choice.
In the previous exploration, we opened the idea that healing is not limited to the physical body, but exists within a much wider interconnected system, what I call the body matrix, which is central to my Consciousness Medicine work. Within this framework, your physical, emotional, energetic, ancestral, and spiritual layers are all in constant relationship with each other.
We also began to shift the way challenges and symptoms are perceived, recognizing that what you experience is not random or working against you, but is often serving a deeper purpose, even if it does not feel that way on the surface. From there, a different kind of question emerges, not how to get rid of the issue, but what it might be trying to do for you, what it has been giving you, how it has served you, and what becomes possible when this is seen and understood.
This process invites you to move beyond thinking about these ideas and into experiencing them directly. You may like to have a journal nearby so you can capture anything that arises for you as you move through it, and you can pause at any time if something feels important to reflect on more deeply. This builds on a previous journaling exploration, which you can return to if you feel called.
For now, simply allow yourself to arrive and trust that you are in the right place at the right time, engaging with exactly what is needed.
The Guided Process
- Gently bring your awareness inward and identify something in your life that you have been struggling with, a pattern, a feeling, or an experience. When you have it, name it simply in one sentence, such as I want to stop, I want to release, I want to let go of, and allow it to land.
- Shift your attention to what you want to create instead. Again, in one sentence, I want to create, I want to be, I want to experience, and allow that intention to begin forming softly in your awareness.
- Allow your breath to deepen naturally and imagine yourself standing in a quiet circular room. This room represents your higher self, a place of awareness, presence, and integration. Around you are five doors labeled physical, energetic, emotional, ancestral, and spiritual.
- Move toward the door labeled physical and step inside. Notice what is here, what you see, hear, feel, and sense in your body. Holding your intention of what you want to release, notice if anything wants to show you something about this pattern. When it feels complete, return to the circular room.
- Move toward the energetic door and step inside. Notice the quality of the space, whether there is movement or stillness, expansion or contraction. Holding your intention, notice what wants to be known, and then return to the central space.
- Move toward the emotional door and step inside. Allow yourself to feel what is present, what emotions are here, perhaps beneath the surface. Without changing anything, simply notice their texture and tone. When complete, return to the circular room and imagine placing what you have gathered into a container in the center.
- Move toward the ancestral door and step inside. Sense the presence of lineage, of others, of something extending beyond you. Holding your intention, notice what wants to be seen or acknowledged. When complete, return and place what you have gathered into the container.
- Move toward the spiritual door and step inside. Allow yourself to connect with a sense of presence, stillness, or vastness. Notice if there is any guidance or knowing available to you. When ready, return to the circular room and place what has arisen into the container.
- Stand in the center of the room and notice the ceiling opening to reveal an expansive light, while beneath your feet you feel a steady grounding connection to the earth.
- Bring your attention to what you want to create and hold it gently in your heart. Notice what you sense, see, or feel. Imagine this new state descending from above and entering your body, moving through all of your cells as your system begins to resonate with it.
- From this place, return to the issue you began with and see it from this expanded state. Notice how it has served you, what it has taught you, and what resources you have gained.
- Imagine allowing these insights to fall beneath you like seeds of consciousness, while the light above nourishes them. Watch as something new begins to grow, stronger, clearer, and more aligned, and feel this support rising up to meet you.
- Notice all five doors opening and the boundaries dissolving until you stand at the center of all layers, fully connected as a living body matrix, connected to the light above and the earth below.
- From this place of integration, ask yourself what choice you can now make, what new way you can choose to create the intended positive outcome without the struggle. Let this choice form and radiate from your heart.
- Allow this to settle and integrate, and when you feel ready, gently return your awareness to your body, your breath, and the space around you, coming back fully into the present moment.
